Description: he most challenging VR games, Benjamin’s Adventures, officially released on Steam. Difficult challenge, music rhythm, and casual puzzle combined into one VR game. It’s very different from ordinary music game, we don’t emphasize music playing, players need to control a cute and little guy and sway to the rhythm of the music on a long road, jump over obstacles, pass the level.
There are two chapters of this game: ice and fire. With three drums in front of players, you could control direction and jump by beating the drums. Don’t think it’s easy to play, the difficulty of Benjamin’s adventures will drive you crazy. You must be quick with your hands and sharp-sighted to follow the rhythm of music, observe the terrain from far away, you should always be prepared for the challenge, are you ready?
Review: It’s hard to describe Journey: Benjamin’s Adventures VR but here it goes. It’s a musical, non-rhythm based platform jumper played in a drum beat style. You control a basic looking character called Benjamin ho is going off on an adventure. With some music in his ear and a hop, skip and a jump, off he goes.
Played using the Oculus Touch controllers you ‘drum’ the movements that you want Benjamin to perform. These are 3 drums in front of you, one left, once right and the last one is the center. Just get into Benjamin’s jump rhythm (not the music’s rhythm) and drum out your path. This is not easy to describe and even harder to play. With a total of 13 levels to complete, you must get to the end of each one by surviving the gaps in the floor either by jumping them or moving left or right to avoid them.
If you are looking for something different to play, this is the game you want. It’s ridiculously hard to play, but yet it is also oddly enjoyable. The music is happy and cheerful and the gameplay is hard but addictive. While not the most amazing use of VR the depth of the long road ahead does make it look quite good. Altogether, this is a game that tries something different and should be applauded for that reason. But if you are of a stressful disposition you might want to avoid it because this game would make a Saint rage against it.
