Description: Visit Maine in this experimental VR experience. Island Land is an imaginary rendered island that serves as the entry point for a collection of linked 360 videos captured along the coast of Maine. Fly in a LifeFlight helicopter, see inside an artist’s studio, hop in a kayak, or cruise on a lobster boat. And, for those not opposed to being surrounded by giant crustaceans, go inside a trap and try the lobster’s-eye-view.
Review: Island Land is a small collection of 360 videos showing little pieces of the daily life of someone living on a small island. From the local brewery to the local lobster fisher. While little more than a publicity trailer for visiting the island it was still interesting at times and the main menu looks nice even if it does lure you into thinking this is a 3D experience rather than a 360 video experience. At the end of the day, it is at least free so you haven’t paid anything for it which would have been a real issue even it that price was very low. Some people might find this interesting or you will find it boring. Why not give it a download and find out yourself!
