Description: In a world overrun with the Dead, you have survived… but for how long? Into the Dead throws you into the gruesome world of the zombie apocalypse where there are no second chances. Do what you have to in order to stay alive, keep moving as fast as you can, and protect yourself by any means necessary.
Review: Starting off with Into the Dead you feel there isn’t much to it. You get some fun weapons and extras to make it that little bit further into the game, but every time you die you have to start at the start again which makes you feel as if there is no point carrying on. But let me tell you there is a point because once you really immerse yourself in this game, get those headphones on and play in the dark, only then will you really understand the levels of heart-racing horror this game brings to the table.
OK, so it can be a little repetitive, but once you have beaten your own high-score a few times you start to want to get that little bit further. Then, throw some friends into the mix and you have a VR score challenge game that will bring any ‘friends night in’ gamer party to life. But you do have to get to that point where survival is a must to truly understand and experience the levels of immersion this game can offer.
With intense gameplay, stunning visuals and high-quality sounds that will make you skin crawl, facing a zombie apocalypse by running are one of the scariest things you can do in VR. This is one of those games that simply wouldn’t have worked without virtual reality, it would have looked like another Temple Run-style game. But in VR this game takes survival horror to a whole new level of realism.
