Review: ‘I Fetch Rocks’ is a game…(if you can call it that) in which you are an asteroid miner just trying to make a living. But this is no Rocinante from ‘The Expanse’, this ships runs on logic games, wires, switches, duck-tape and a whole load of other things I never thought I would get the hang of. But yet…somehow I did! I’m not saying I was blown away by the game, but it did capture me and coloured me intrigued. This is a game that many people will hate, but others will totally lose themselves in, especially when it comes to strategy and ship-management.
With its OK graphics and deep engineering style gameplay it is possible to enjoy it and I do easily recommend it, but I do wish there was a demo for people to try it out first and I wish the tutorial was a little clearer. But on the whole, I love the braveness of the design of the game and wish more developers were pushing the boundaries of what a VR game should be like.
