Review: Part of me wants to hate this Hunt + Coombs VR Rollercoaster, and the VR reviewer part of me wants to tell you all how much I loved it. I think I have to go with the latter and wave the Mobile VR4EVER flag to show that all of us who work at the VR shop want it to be a success we know it can be. So why do we hate this app? Because essentially it is a “business coaster” or maybe a life coaster” with the ups and downs of life all covered by Hunt & Coombs solicitors. The problem is they have done it in a very clever way and the app is pretty good, but from the start to the end it is essentially one long advert for their services.

Taking the app for the ride simulation aspect, it is a pretty good app! Called the “LEGALISER!” there are some good turns, a few twists, loops and some very creative scenery particularly riding through the “OO’s” of the company’s name. We have to give them credit where it is due, this is a very creative piece of advertising and they got in first before any other law firm thought of it. As a virtual reality roller coaster ride it’s pretty good, looks great, sounds great and is totally worth downloading. As a marketing tool, it is a cheap trick but delivered in a genius way by some very clever people in both Hunt & Coombs marketing department and the app developers team. OK, so it’s one giant advert, but it’s still a VR good coaster nevertheless.
