Unlock more of the world as you explore the world “room to room”, earning new powers and items to become the Spirit Champion.
Review: Love your Orcs and wizards adventure style games? Herobound: Spirit Champion is one you should give a go. The Gear VR port over ads even more to the Herobound series of games. With a Zelda style storyline you have to defeat various elemental bosses and bring peace back to the lands you live.
Done in a cartoon style setting you have to run, jump, explore and chop your way through the lands. You play in a sort of God-like, 3rd person mode which for most part works well, forever placing you in the best places to see all the action.
Sadly you always feel that this really isn’t much more than a Gear VR title. The graphics could have been better, the animation looks jumpy and the environments never look filled. We are not saying that this is a bad game because it really isn’t. But what we are saying is it could have easily been so much better. But if you love the Zelda games you will feel right at home here.
