Description: ‘Gun Beat’ is a VR game that combines rhythm and shooting. Beat the enemy with a rhythm! Oh, don’t forget to avoid bullets, too!
Review: There is no getting around it, ‘Gun Beat’ is so close to being an early version of ‘Pistol Whip’ that it is painful to see it get so close and fail. But it’s not all bad news as this is a pretty great game. Its the same music and shooting style as ‘Pistol Whip’, only it is the poor graphics and sound that let it down (plus a crap choice of songs). I even think the price isn’t too bad and for just £5.19 this is worth a look. But little things like the “Fever” combo meter that just spoils the rhythm side of the game and the odd mistiming of shooting and music. I feel even now if these little issues were sorted out this could still be a great game. But for now, it’s an OK one that is still worth a look, but could do with a lot of polish.
