Description: Guardians is an innovative VR shooter that blends RTS and FPS genres in a Sci-Fi setting. The game has a single-player campaign and multiplayer PVP and PVE modes. Both multiplayer modes are cross-play between PC and Oculus Quest.
Review: It has to be said from the off there is a definite ‘Halo’ feel about ‘Guardians VR’. OK, so it’s not as polished, nor as much fun to play as Halo, but in terms of style it has clearly had an influence. The good news is the game is not terrible at all, the guns feel good and what little content there is was enjoyable to play. Overall it’s a solid shooter that doesn’t bring much new to the table, but sticks to the tried and tested styles which is not always a bad thing. The only way you will get value for money from this game is if you hit the multiplayer hard and very frequently. The single-player mode simply isn’t worth the asking price, so do bear that in mind. Sure, its average, but sometimes you just want more of the same and that is what this game delivers.
