While some of us would have liked a standalone Daydream headset that is now what they are doing. They are concentrating on software pouring $12 million into Meta Quest 2 SideQuest apps. This Series A investment isn’t quite the news many of us wanted, but it could sure lead to some interesting things. Our Thoughts: It has to be said there were some pretty amazing games on the Google Daydream platform and I would like to see games like Need for Speed: No Limits VR released and many of the other Google Daydream games we loved here on this site. But I get the feeling it will only result in a small handful of simple, forgettable titles that will make no difference to Googles credibility in the games market.
