Review: This app is a massive showcase of some of the very best 360 stories that are mostly available on YouTube anyway. As with the YouTube videos you can simply press the Google Cardboard logo and you will be able to watch it on a mobile VR headset. Seeing filmmakers embrace the 360 video scene fills us with hope for the future of mobile VR.

Sadly for the Google Spotlight Stories app, it is very temperamental and we had to try 7 different smartphones before we found an older one that was compatible with the app. We’ve pretty sure this is a temporary glitch, but it is a problem nonetheless. If you are one of the lucky ones who ones a compatible device you will find some amazing filmmaking styles to see here in the small, but impressive little library app.
