Description: Once upon a time, a gentle giant wakes from a deep slumber to discover himself under attack by a tiny angry mob. With no real weapons to defend himself, the giant must use anything that he can in order to survive! In Good Goliath, players are the giant and battle against hordes of pitchfork-wielding villagers, cavalry mounted soldiers, and even flying devilish imps. Good Goliath puts players in a storybook world, where they fight through vibrant and cartoon style levels.
With wave-based tower defence gameplay where players are the tower, catch and dodge pitchforks, barrels, and other weapons as they are launched. Even grab some of those tiny villagers out of the air as they launch themselves and use them to knock out their friends! Battle armies of bitty foes, formidable mini-bosses and colossal monsters as you play this arcade-action experience. From castle mountain tops, shark-infested pirate islands and creepy caverns, use everything in your power to survive the endless battle.
Review: ‘Good Goliath’ is a wave-based tower defence game of sorts that really mixes things up a bit by not giving you a single weapon or piece of ammo. Yes, this game really puts you on the back-foot from the word go as you need to catch what the enemy is throwing at you before you can mount any form of offence. It’s a new way of playing this tired genre that makes this game stand out from the crowd. But it’s not just original, it looks amazing and the gameplay feels fast and furious, but always fun. With 9 worlds in total each one with a unique look and boss fight, you should get your money’s worth here quite easily. While I admit at times it can get frustrating I felt that was just me being bad at the game.
