Review: I’ve played a few pool games in VR and some of them have been OK, but ‘Golf Pool VR’ doesn’t just try to be “OK” it tries to bring something different to the genre. The game is a combination of golf and pool in which you basically play pool, only with golf clubs. Then, if that wasn’t weird enough the environments are crazy, places like the Moon and a Blade Runner city, it is all crazy that is for sure. The good news is it does look OK and can feel oddly atmospheric to play, but when it comes to controls they were a little too sensitive for my personal liking and some of the voice acting is simply crap. But for just £10.29 and a multiplayer option, I still think this is worth a look. Sure, it takes a good while to get used to it, but you can easily lose yourself for a few hours here which does mean you should get your money’s worth.
