Review: Before I tell you what I think about FURIDASHI: Drift Cyber Sport I will tell you this: Racing games in VR are by their nature incredibly nauseating in VR. It’s not the game makers fault, its just motion sickness. Why I am tell you this? Because drifting in VR is even worse and even I felt queasy and I consider myself very VR hardened. So with that issue out of the way I move onto the game. The games biggest issue is the total lack of online players which means you are stuck with the AI and single-player mode only. But that is no bad thing as there are lots of modes and tournaments to race in. For some, the gameplay will not feel natural and that is because a drift racing car is not a normal car at all and is supposed to feel and drive lighter.
Graphically the game isn’t on par with a game like Project CARS, but it is still pretty great especially in VR. Heck, I am even going to suggest that £10.99 isn’t a terrible asking price for this game given its quality and content amount. Just know that this is not going to be for everyone and there are micropayments for in-game cars as well.
