Review: The truth is FIVE: Champions of Canaan isn’t a bad game. Sure, it’s not as good as its predecessors, but its still a pretty good classic style RPG. The action is OK, even if it gets a little repetitive and the graphics while a little drab are more than suitable. If I was reviewing this game for a 2D screen it would probably get my recommendation. Sadly for this game, this review is based on the bolted-on VR version of the game and oh boy is it terrible! It doesn’t really add anything graphically to the game and the way the camera flys around will make even the most VR hardened player barf.
And yet…for £2.79 I am still willing to recommend it. Sure, its not great in VR, but we really don’t have that many good RPG’s to choose from, so this is a welcomed addition. You do get a lot of game for your money and that is why I am still willing to recommend it. But only just and be prepared to suffer VR sickness from start to finish.
