The highly detailed environment creates a wonderful sense of immersion, and this experience is suitable for the whole family and brings a sense of true exploration. Nothing is inappropriate or too scary for younger players or the more mature. This is just the beginning of the journey, with more exciting episodes in development.
Review: ‘Essence of Illumination: The Beginning’ is an underwater adventure game of sorts that is more a relaxing finding game than anything else. You go along collecting crystals and shooting blobs of darkness. While the visuals are not mind-blowing you should be pretty happy to just explore in a slow-paced way which is highly advised as there really isn’t a whole lot to this game. Those of us who like slower games will find this quite peaceful and there are plenty of settings like the amount of fish to much around with and make it as best looking as you can. Its probably just about worth the £3.99 asking price,e but do be aware that the price is rather small, so you don’t get a whole lot of content. We weird game indeed, but one I recommend if you are looking for a small bit of escapism.
