Description: Elena is an atmospheric first person exploration game in which the player discovers the story of a young couple. The player takes the role of Anna and has to find out what happened to her husband. In cupboards and drawers, she finds items and documents that reveal the truth. With the help of a mysterious caller, she embarks on a search for an explanation for her husband’s disappearance. Experience Anna’s story, explore her home and draw conclusions to finally discover the secret.
Review: Elena reminds me very much of the classic TV show Lost. No, there is no smoke monster, but there is mystery and intrigue from the start to the finish of this…experience and sadly the ending leaves you asking more questions than you started with (very much like Lost). The thing is, this game looks OK and feels immersive enough that you get into it and wanting to know where this storyline is going, but then before you have had a chance to get some questions answered it is all over leaving you feeling very unsatisfied. Even with that in mind, I do feel £2.89 is the right price for this. Sure, it only lasts 1 hour (2 tops) but it does immerse you for that time and it looks good. I just wish it wasn’t just a let down at the end.
