Description: The first person viewpoint and simulated physics give the sensation of truly playing tennis. The experience of holding a racket and hitting a ball — so difficult to capture on a TV screen in the past — has been fully realized in VR. The movement, rotation, angle, friction, and bounce of the racket and ball are fully simulated, and you can even freely perform things like topspin and slices, which cause the ball to spin.
Review: While Dream Match Tennis VR is far from perfect it is at least fun to play. There really isn’t that many good tennis games in VR yet, but this one does at least manage to make the classic game playable. Many people will moan at the graphics (or the lack of them) I still think it delivers its money’s worth. Sure, it is not amazing, the lack of any sort of multiplay is almost unforgivable and it won’t make you fall in love with tennis. But for those of us who do love our tennis games, it does at least offer a challenge and some fun gameplay.
