Description: It is up to you, a banished deity controlling one of four unique, devout factions, to change the past and restore order to the shattered world. This VR-exclusive, immersive collectible card-battler mixes high fantasy with World War II. The entire 4×4 grid battlefield is alive with mobile squads, rampaging giants, intimidating war-machines, soaring projectiles, and fire-breathing bombing runs. Assemble your forces and take to the frontlines!
Review: Dragon Front takes the classic turn-based collectable card battler game and gives it a VR twist. Played on a 4X4 battle grid the idea is you have to destroy the opponent’s fort. Picking and choosing various battle cards and power-ups and spells this is a game that requires a strategic mind to be good at it. Sadly I don’t have that, but I least I had lots of fun losing all the time.
It is the animation that really brings this game to life. With animated backgrounds, battle decks, characters, cards even parts of the HUD are constantly moving! It looks simply gorgeous in battle and even in the slow starting times it never feels boring. Picking the right card and placing it in the right place is what this game is all about. With an impressive 250+ cards to collect and choose, you might never play the same game twice. Add that on top of the multiplay aspect and you have yourself a good amount of replay value.
You either love card deck battle games or you don’t. If you do, it is time to rejoice as this is probably the greatest VR battle card game since Ascension VR (only this is a lot easier to understand). Putting you into the battle this game both looks and feels amazing as you work your way to defeat or victory. It has to be said that it looks, sounds and plays amazingly well and as an added bonus I didn’t feel it was too complex and when it comes to card battle games that is a rare thing indeed. This is a game that can only get better as time goes on with more and more cards and powers being added.
