Review: I have to be honest and tell you that I wasn’t expecting much from ‘DownStream: VR Whitewater Kayaking’, but it easily surpassed my expectations. It is a white water rafting game in which you can paddle like you are in a real kayak and even use a few cheats to go a little faster like using a grappling hook. But it also doesn’t take itself too seriously with a super-fast arcade feel and look to it which does make the game way more exciting to play, but a lot more nauseating. While there are only 12 courses to race you can ramp up the difficulty and really get a workout at the same time which does extend its life a little. Sure, I wish it had a multiplayer mode especially when it costs £14.49, but getting this game for under a tenner in a sale should see you feeling pretty happy with your purchase.
