Description: Danger Room is a short and frenetic VR game. Players will have to master their reflexes and skills to reach the goal: try to collect as many knowledge balls as possible, while avoiding the multiple traps awaiting you. Danger Room was developed for the Polytechnical University of Catalonia, and was exhibited at the “Saló del ensenyament” in march 2017, where more than 2000 visitors played it. It is now available for the first time, totally free, for the Steam community.
Review: You might be expecting ‘Danger Room VR’ to be like the usual escape room games, but this is much more of an action game than any puzzle game. Put simply you are placed in a room (so you will need a 2.5m SQ roomscale setup) and you need to shot, avoid and perform various tasks that happen all around you. Sometimes that is shooting, sometimes that is performing tasks and sometimes it is just a matter of getting out of the way of lasers and things. For a free game, this is well worth a look and makes good use of a room-scale setup. But it is a good job that it is free as it soon gets very boring.
