Review: When CyberThreat was first released it had grand plans and big ideas that are well ahead of their time in the world of VR. If you really enjoy games like Raw Data you might well enjoy this one as it is yet another robot shooter, only done in a small city area and it looks pretty good for its age! While it is a little glitch and basic in most areas it is still a blast to play. Being able to teleport around and explore does give you a nice sense of freedom. The action at times can be quite manic and even when it isn’t you can easily find yourself immersed in the game.
Sadly, even with all those great things I still feel this game is not worth the £14.99 asking price. But grab it in a sale for less than half-price and you might well feel you are getting your money’s worth. This is a game truly ahead of its time and yet its still well worth a look even if it is to try the free demo.
