Review: ‘CubeHook VR’ is a tabletop style strategy game in which you have to keep doubling up cubes that you catapult into the table to make them combine to the highest points possible. So a 4 hitting 4 turns into a 8, then a 32 hitting a 32 turns into a 64. There is no tutorial here, you just kind of get on with it. While it does sound boring I have to admit it was more engaging than I thought it would be and I did start to have some fun. But when I realised that I needed a score of 6000 just to unlock the next level I instantly gave up. When a game like this with very little content needs to have ALL unlocked straight away, if not easier to unlock at least. With its bare-bones graphics and very repetitive gameplay I don’t think I can recommend this at the moment. But I will try harder to unlock more levels and update this review if I ever manage to do so.
