Review: Critter Kart is a cutesy racing game in which you choose one of 11 little critters to race against the others. At first, I was starting to enjoy the game, grabbing the virtual steering wheel and using it being a nice touch. I started to win a few races and soon I had won on all 5 courses. But this wasn’t luck, it was a VR comfort setting that meant I was invulnerable. I could use the power-ups on the other cars sending them into the sky, but they couldn’t do the same to me meaning it was ridiculously easy even on the hardest of settings. Or, you can turn this comfort setting off and play in a virtual arcade of sorts on a flat 2D screen. I get that it is not made for VR (like almost all other racing games) but I just don’t feel it works in VR. For £3.99 it is still worth a look I suppose, but it isn’t the best at all.
