Review: ‘Cosmotic Blast’ is a modern, VR take on the classic Atari game of asteroids, but I have to say, it does so in a rather cool way. In fact, I would even go so far as to say I found this game surprisingly enjoyable. You are basically destroying large blocks of cubes that will then break off into smaller cubes until the point that they are a single cube. The developer has used 3D to great effect here and at times it looks pretty cool in a low-poly way. Sure, it does get repetitive after a short while and it is quite nauseating to play, but floating around in space is always quite dizzying. I do wish it was a little cheaper than £3.99, but even at that price, I think this is worth a look if you like retro-style games. I have seen a few retakes in VR of this classic game, but this one is probably one of the best.
