Review: ‘Contact : Last Defence’ is a fun little space shooter which on the surface is a shallow arcade shooter, but look a little deeper and I have to say there is some strategy to be used here. Sure, the action is very arcade-like as you move your ship around with the touch controller and fire at enemies in front of you, or you can play with a full 360 play space. But the other side of this game is choosing what parts of your ship to upgrade and the sort of weapons. It looks OK I suppose, but doesn’t have a lot of scenery which does mean it feels repetitive rather quickly. Its probably just about worth the current £4.99 asking price, but grabbing it in a sale is highly advised.
