Review: Cave Digger is as raw as exploration games get. You are chucked into the deep end and it is up to you to work out what to do, how to do it and what it all means. But that is what makes this game such a joy to play. It’s the pureness of the discovery that will keep you going for hours and keep you immersed, never knowing what you might come across next. With hidden items, easter eggs and a whole lot more. Be warned, this is a boringly repetitive game, but somehow it still manages to hold your interesting while never changing what happens. I know that sounds like a contradiction, but it really is how this game feels and if you want to collect all the things in the game you will easily get your money’s worth here. I for one loved it, but I did find it best to play in short bursts.
