Description: The Captain is an immersive sword fighting game. Hold on to your sword as the Captain enters the arena. He will have no mercy but so won’t you. Lunge, retreat, duck and slope in your attempt to defy the master.
The idea is you can duck, jump back and thrust into your opponent all the name of increasing your sword fighting abilities. Using the Oculus Touch controllers you can have your sword in your left or right hand (not both at the same time) and you just need to knock The Captain’s health down to zero. But be warned it is not as easy as it sounds.
The Captain is more of a test demo of sword swinging gameplay than a full experience or game. To be fair to it, what there is looks great and the captain is nicely animated. But with only one level, terrible collision detection and poor fighting mechanics it goes to show that looks alone are not worth much. But if you are happy to play around with the test then give it a go and support the developer who might one day make this experience even better.
