Review: ‘Burial Stone’ is a classic dungeon crawler that tires it best to keep things old-school and simple which is both to its credit and to its demise. The gameplay loop is pretty simple, you pick a class of character ( mage, fighter, etc, etc) and go off into the dungeon linking the handful of enemies you will come across. The whole time you will need to keep your health and mana up as you go about your exploring one cube step at a time.
With the lack of music and the terrible action, this game doesn’t really have much going for it at all. But at the end of the day, it is free and I can easily see D&D fans enjoying it. It has just enough depth and replay value to make it worth the download, without it being worth anything really. But hey, it’s free and if you like the look of it I recommend you give it a go. Just remind yourself that you didn’t pay anything for it and you should be fine.
