Review: When you first select your character in ‘Battlewake’ and go out on the high-seas for action and adventure this game is all good. It looks amazing, feels amazing to play and it even has a multiplayer side of things (which is sadly pretty much dead these days). I dare say this is the best pirate ship game I have played in VR and I have played more than my fair share of them. But without any other players to have a laugh with this game soon gets very boring and you start to realise it isn’t as big as you might have first thought. If you don’t mind the grind to unlock all the items you might still get your money’s worth here, but for us short blast players it is best to wait for a sale before giving it a go.
