Description: Howdy, folks! Y’all would nahwt believe what have we done found lately – some strange goggles with ayy screen inside’em. Ayy kind piece ov electronik device, maand my wawds! So we done decided ta hit our friends in Duality ayn’ ask them about this here thing. Seems like it’s some kaand ov gaming binoculaars in witch ya’ll be able ta see us as alive!
Okay, so Uncle Billy had discovered VR, that’s right. Then we had no other choice than to obey him (and it was NOT because of him standing over our shoulders with an open-end wrench) and do Barn Finders in VR. So, here we go, let’s have a fun ride with our beloved Uncle and his wicked team! Now you can truly feel the whole Barn Finders atmosphere and dive into it with all of your senses. Well, maybe except smell, but that’s a good thing.
Review: In short ‘Barn Finders VR’ sees you searching for items, cleaning them, fixing them and selling them. It is clear from the off that this game was not made for VR and you will notice all manner of glitches and bugs when it comes to interacting with things and plenty when you are not as well. While the graphics aren’t great there is lots to see and interact with even if the overall quality seems lacklustre. If you like cheap toilet humour and a simple gameplay loop, this might be the game for you.
While it is clear a lot of work has gone into ‘Barn Finders VR’ I just don’t like the game. It’s like a hidden object game with VR bolted onto the side of it and while the VR implementation does work most of the time, in others it fails miserably and it just feels like a cheap game even if there is enough content to justify the asking price. Sadly it is the boring gameplay loop that I hate the most. It gets very repetitive far too quickly and there isn’t enough here to make me want to play it for hours on end. Sure, you might get your money’s worth if you stick with it, but I feel most people will give up long before that or quit in frustration at all the bugs and glitches.
