Description: Ballanced, a high-flying aerial puzzler challenging you to navigate your ball through a series of treacherous levels full of obstacles and enemies collecting coins along the way. Ballanced takes inspiration from timeless classic arcade games, such as Marble Madness, and offers a fun mobile version to the new generation of players looking to experience the exciting gameplay on modern technology.
Review: Ballanced is a classic ball rolling game only done in VR obviously. As with all games in this genre you have to get the marble from A to B without falling off. While that might sound simple there are see-saws, moving platforms and even bits of scenery trying to stop you.
The amount of stars you get at the end of each level is determined by how many coins you collected, how much time you took and how many times you died trying it. To get the full 3 you need to be quick, perfect and collect all those coins. While the graphics are basic, it is little things like floating fish and multi-levels that make it look interesting. These will help to keep your mind off the rather distracting techno, drum and bass soundtrack.
This type of game has always been fun and this one is no exception. With 24 levels and 72 reward balls to unlock it should keep you going until you get your money’s worth. Sadly it doesn’t make great use of the VR element as we have seen other marble rolling games do, but it does offer a fun distraction for a while.
