About: It’s a homebrew virtual reality headset that is held together with Black gaffa tape, but what it also is, is a true video gamers HMD. It’s affordable, works well and is exactly what games need so now the question comes to mind about how hard big global firms find making almost the same thing! A relatively cheap and fun do-it-yourself project to experience the joys of virtual reality without breaking the bank is to make a Google Cardboard headset, but this is the full headset, phone and all!

Our Thoughts: The thing is ASH VR1 is very impressive of that there is no doubt. But it will not suit the profitable amount of public interest and there forth the problem. A headset that is compatible to the public needs to be lightweight, can be used by people with glasses and low tolerance to motion sickness and be good enough to make it immersive. This headset does do most of those things and shows what you can do for a small budget, but it is built for one person! And it’s that one person who gets our respect here at the VR shop for epic HMD building skills.
