Description: Arkio is a collaborative design tool that enables you to sketch buildings, interiors or urban plans with others using VR, desktops, tablets and phones. Design by yourself or work with up to 24 people to make better design decisions faster. Review: ‘Arkio’ is a 3D sketch program in which you can build a basic white style cityscape or just build a single building with some interior details. You can import data from other programs like Revit, Rhino, or Sketchup, or you can make one inside this program. I have to say the hand tracking was a nice addition above the Steam VR version of this and while it does take even longer to get the hang of things it felt oddly natural.
I am sure someone will enjoy using this and I did find it pretty simple to use. While it could do with a lot more tuition I still managed to use it from scratch. If it wasn’t free I don’t think I would recommend it, but given that it is I suggest you give this a go if you need a 3D design tool.
