Review: ‘ARK-ADE’ is a low-poly, retro-style action shooter in which you will be taking down enemies and bosses across 7 levels with a little help from a drone that seems to do pretty much nothing. While the “flick to reload” is a little annoying the game mostly keeps the pace frantic and the action fun, but I have to say I wasn’t impressed with the boss fights all being the same boss. I did enjoy myself here, but after my first hour of gameplay, I was on level 5 with only two levels to go. Sure, there are apparently hidden items and several difficulty levels, but in terms of main content the game doesn’t really justify the £14.99 price tag, so do try and hold off until it’s in a really good sale. I do recommend you try it at least and there is a free demo, but you don’t get a whole lot for the money.
