Description: ARCADEON VR is a match 3 game on steroids. Use the force of your gravity gloves to swap and match drones by colours in different grids simultaneously. While solving levels, drones attack you with lasers, missiles and cannon balls. Other drones offer you power-ups, shields or multipliers. The futuristic streamline universe of Arcadeon is heavily inspired by cyberpunk classics such as Blade Runner and Tron.
Review: I like a good match-3 game just as much as the next casual gamer and that is what ‘ARCADEON VR’ brings to the table. My problem is there is no reason for this game to be in VR. In fact, it would be just as much fun to play on a mobile! Don’t get me wrong here, I am not hating on this game as it is simple, fun to play and looks OK. But the VR element of it is kind of pointless as if very little thought had gone into making a VR game in the first place. Sure, it uses the motion controller, but you could play this with fingers just as easily. For just £2.89 this game is still worth a look and indeed I did have fun playing it, but it’s not the best use of VR and you might well end up getting bored of it rather quickly.
