Review: I really like that Animal Planet is embracing the VR medium, but I do think ‘Animal Planet: Amazon Odyssey’ could have been a lot better. My main problem is that when it comes to safari photo hunting games, it is pretty essential for the game to look as good as possible to make the game more fun and more believable. That is simply not the case here. But this games saving grace is that it does at least have some educational elements and that means for the little ones this is a worthy purchase. Although I did find some of the animal noises to be a little too loud and scary. Asking £4.79 is a bit much if you ask me, but getting it for half that price or less should mean you get your money’s worth. I just feel that this could have (and should have) been a lot better from such a big company with big pockets.
