Review: Althora is one of those games I was simply happy just to be playing. It didn’t matter too much that the game was so linear, I was just happy to keep on moving forward, always wondering what was around the next corner, the next chapter. There are indeed puzzles in this game but nothing that won’t take you more than a few moments to figure out. This is not an action filled adventure, it is a relaxing one where you can sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the game. Put simply it does a wonderful job of keeping you immersed if only for a short amount of time. Personally, I felt I got value for money from this game, but having said that I did get it in a half-price sale and to be honest I am glad that I did. There simply aren’t enough chapters to justify this games full price, but if you see it on a sale, do grab it quick as it’s well worth it and you won’t be disappointed at all. VR is all about taking you away from the real world and this does that job very well indeed.
