Description: Dimensional throws you into dangerous chambers to save an alien race. This is not a passive experience. To succeed, you’ll have to feel and act as though you’re really there. You’ll be standing, moving around, manipulating objects with realistic physics and reacting to dangers. More than just puzzles and action, I’m trying to put you in a variety of unique situations that can only be appreciated in VR.
You have to duck, kneel down and at times jump, lean and dodge your way through the level. This is one of those VR games that is fun to play, but more fun to watch someone else playing it. You get around the level by teleporting here and there, then moving around in the real world once you are in the spot you teleported to. This is more natural and ingenious than it sounds.
Dimensional is the best example of ‘room-scale’ you will see on the Oculus Rift at the moment and be fair to it, it feels amazing to play it. Despite the graphics not being exactly mind-blowing you easily believe what you are hearing and seeing. Heck, even the storyline is pretty believable! This isn’t the biggest games you will ever play and most people will finish it within a few hours, but for us PCVR owners, it is a great example of how good VR can be.
