Description: The team at Endeavor One delivers the fantasy of scaling a major metropolis to Virtual Reality. Original soundtrack from Seattle’s HushHush Records.

Review: Jump is essentially a freerunning game that tests your ability to stay cool even at height. Featuring 9 cityscapes, there is no path given to you, no guidance, just a target. You have to get there by whatever path you want, jumping from building top to building top. With simple controls and fast flowing graphics, this is a game that is so much fun to play, it’s just a shame there isn’t one large open sandbox mode.

Jumping from building to building sounds pretty simple, but in VR this is truly terrifying and towards the end when you are on the highest floating platforms you will feel your hands start to sweat and your legs wobble. While the graphics aren’t amazing they are more than adequate to give you the feeling of height and fear.

Jump is as close to playing Mirrors Edge in VR as we might ever get, but that OK because this is a pretty good game anyway. It feels faster, smoother and at a height even scarier than the Gear VR version. This is a game that shows you just how good a simple game in VR can be. Just be warned, this is NOT a game for people who suffer from Acrophobia. I wouldn’t say I do, but at times even my heart goes and I feel my legs start to wobble even though I am sat down. This is a VR game done the right way.
