Review: Let’s face it. Anything that the Discovery channel is going to make in 360 video style is going to look good and that is exactly what this app is full of. Choose from Gold Rush, Adventure, Wildlife, Survivorman and even space-themed videos and experience some amazing things that in real life you probably wouldn’t want to.
While it does have to be said that content is a little thin at the moment, over time this is one of those apps that will probably get better and better. Is this the future of the Discovery Channel? Only time will tell, but it does have to be said that it makes certain things like the underwater and wildlife videos seem very immersive. Pop on a pair of headphones and you might just as well be there while they film it.
