Description: Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a real thief? Now you can see for yourself in Thief Simulator VR – an immersive experience of being a minor burglar – without any unnecessary violence.
Steal in free roam sandbox neighborhoods. Observe your target and gather information that will help you with the burglary. Take the challenge and rob the best secured houses. Buy some hi-tech burglar equipment and learn new thief tricks. Sell stolen goods to the passers. Do anything that a real thief does. And… don’t get caught!
Review: Much like the original PCVR game ‘Thief Simulator VR‘ this game once again sees you playing the role of the thief, driving to houses, breaking into them and stealing all you can find. It’s a game of stealth and brains as you can easily get caught. This section on the Quest is the first neighbourhood that the thief is able to access in the original game, so as more of the full game gets transferred, you should have access to more levels (but this might be locked behind DLC paywalls). To be fair to the developers they can come a long way since that original game and it looks and feels pretty great on the Quest.
Once you are getting into the game you will start to notice all the bugs, glitches and graphical flaws. Scenery pops up, lockpicking is a nightmare at first, people and things can end up in the scenery and there is an overall feeling of “Early Access” here. But still, I do think it is worth the money if you are willing to work through the games flaws.
