Description: Descend into the depths of an alien underwater world filled with wonder and peril. Craft equipment, build bases, pilot submarines, and out-smart wildlife to explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes, cave systems, and more – all while trying to survive.
Review: Subnautica is an ever changing, ever growing survival adventure game that gets you to build you own underwater world in a sea / ocean that is full of incredibly well-designed flora, fauna and sea creatures, it seems to have everything interesting to look at and at many times make you forget the survival aspects of the game.
But it is that survival element of the game that makes it so tough. You start with basic rations and very basic tools meaning you need to work your way to up to the point where the deeper dives will take place and the more interesting creatures can be found. But it’s totally work sticking with it until these dives can happen because the things you find in the deep parts of this game will blow your mind.
This game is no quick blast adventure game, it takes time to grow your underwater habitat and gain the ability to explore further and further. But all-in-all, it is a fun experience that does offer a surprising amount of realism despite its alien world theme. Just be prepared to fight your way up the food chain because when you start this game there isn’t much that won’t attempt to eat you.
