Presentation: To be fair the ‘XTAL 8K’ certainly gives off a very premium vibe with its clean, almost Apple-inspired white outer box. Once inside you are looking at high-quality packaging foam and several boxes with all your paperwork in and leads. This is a headset that is treated with respect and the price tag certainly demands it.

Review: The ‘XTAL 8K’ isn’t for the average VR player, but it is for dedicated VR businesses and independent enthusiasts. The main use of the headset is for pilot training sims and high-quality VR displays. No, it is not comfortable on the head, in fact, it is like a small elephant sitting on it. While I do get where the makers of this headset are going the super-high price takes me back to the 1990s where VR was asking crazy prices. While I do wish the makers all the best if anyone single person is thinking of buying this headset I would think twice.
