Description: Stride.net is an online multiplayer STRIDE mode where players can find endless fun competing in various battles in urban environments perfectly tailored for parkour action.
Review: ‘STRIDE.net Open Alpha’ is a game that reminds me a lot of Mirrors edge, especially in graphical style. There is a lot of parkour-style gameplay as well, but the shooting and arena-style gameplay remind me more of games like Gorilla Tag. Sadly there is no single-player game here at all, it is online only play which doesn’t have the biggest of communities yet (it might never get there) so you might have to wait for a game which does make the £15.49 a very tough pill to swallow. But I did manage to find 1 personal to play against and it was a laugh for a little while. But again, there wasn’t enough variety here to justify the price tag. If this game cost a fraction of its current asking price I might have recommended it, but until it is I don’t think it will ever be truly worth the money despite being a good game at heart.
