Description: Cartridge Monsters is a monster catching RPG. Set in the world of Rendis, you are the heir to the Capture Clan and monsters have invaded! Catch and build a team to do battle and explore the world!
Review: ‘Cartridge Monsters’ is one of those monster catching and battling style games not too dissimilar to Monster Hunter of Pokemon, only in VR and made on a budget of £1. So of course things look VERY basic, but there are at least 65 monsters to try and catch/battle with. There are no multiplayer battles here, just single player, but the AI isn’t terrible I suppose. All selection is done on a virtual tablet and then when you are ready it will produce a cartridge (hence the title of the game) which you load into your gun and fire into the battle arena. Gameplay is semi-interesting I suppose, but it is the lack of content, shine and effort that puts me off recommending this game. It’s certainly not worth even a quarter of the current £19.49 price tag, but if it ever becomes free you might want to take a look if you are bored one-day.
