Description: Great Paintings from Great Museums of the World in Virtual Reality. The application allows to browse across famous paintings in a single room. There is no need to teleport or move around, each painting is displayed in front of the user. There are more than 200 paintings, including famous paintings from Sandro Botticelli, Hieronymus Bosh, Caravaggio, Georges de la Tour, Jan van Eyck, Johannes Vermeer, Leonardo da Vinci. The format for managing the set of paintings is simple, allowing the application to be extended with more paintings in the future.
Review: I feel the best thing I can say about ‘Great Paintings VR’ is that it does what it needs to do. It’s an interactive experience in which you will get to look at 200 different paintings from some of the worlds most famous artists. while there is a small amount of text that goes with each of them there is nothing here I would say is educational and they are certainly not the best images of the paintings, but it is good enough for view them from a small distance. For a free app, I really can’t moan at it, but it is a good job it is free otherwise I would not have been able to recommend it dut to the raw way the paintings are presented.
