Description: STRIDE is a high-octane parkour adventure in virtual reality. Fight for your life as you hurtle through the rooftops of a futuristic metropolis. Step into the shoes of a master freerunner as you vault, swing, roll, and shoot your way through this intense, action-packed adventure.
Review: There is no getting away from it, ‘STRIDE’ is like a VR version of Mirrors Edge, only more linear and less polish. The game itself is pretty action-packed and will see you not only running and jumping but also wall-walking, flipping, ziplining and using all manner of gadgets to get about the rooftops. For the first few hours playing this, you will fall in love with it. Its fun to play, feels exciting and while it can be nauseating it never feels overly nauseating which is a credit to the game designers. But soon afterwards you will notice you are having to play the same levels over and over with the same bad-buys in the same places, no randomization at all. Its little touches like that which Mirrors Edge had, but this is not Mirrors Edge, its ‘STRIDE’ and I for one am happy to recommend this even at full price. Sure, it does get repetitive after a few hours, but that doesn’t mean there is still plenty more content to be explored. Sure, it lacks a bit of spit and polish, but the medium price point represents that.
