Review: Before I get to the review, a quick warning that this game is not suitable for those with photosensitive epilepsy as there is extreme flashing. ‘Moose Life’ very much reminds me of the original Rex game on the Sega Dreamcast. With particle effects flying all over the screen and colours that explode into your face, its like a crazy acid trip without the comedown. This game takes me back in a retro way, but the 3D effects inside the game still remind me that I am in VR and boy is this game crazy to play in VR, even more so as it uses a gamepad instead of your motion controllers. I love classic Shoot ‘Em Up’s like this and thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. OK, so it’s not worth the £5.19 asking price, but I would grab it in a sale, especially if you are a retro gamer. Sometimes you just need a bit of crazy, pointless action and that is what this game delivers.
