Review: There are plenty of mech games out there and some are better than others. The bad news is ‘Metal Gunner’ isn’t one of the better ones, but then again, it doesn’t try to be. What it does try to be is a cheap indie version of a mech game and taking that into account (as well as the low asking price) this game is pretty amazing. It looks great, sounds great and while basic the controls work as intended and you can even use a gamepad if you wish which I highly suggest. With a good few hours of play, some boss fights and plenty of action along the way your £9.29 is well spent here and a lot of much more expensive mech games could learn a lot from ‘Metal Gunner’.
