Description: Nostos, developed by NetEase, is a PC and VR cross-platform multiplayer survival game with an open-world where elements of Oriental animated films are incorporated. The simulation technology of real physical environment, giant and seamless world map, freely moving system and oriental animated film art style build up a “Pioneer” image for this game.
Players will play the role of an explorer in Nostos to adventure, combat, build up and save the world with their partners. A variety of terrains, miraculous ecological communities, and meteorological system, special doomsday costumes, as well as realistic combat experience will offer players extraordinary immersive gaming experiences.
Review: For such a big name development company I have to say I was a little disappointed with ‘Nostos’. At times it does offer what you expect it to, with a big, beautiful open world to explore and fire your imagination with, but then it snaps it away with empty sparse landscapes that are seemingly pointless. But it is clear from the off that this game is seemingly half-finished. From the little bugs to the weird controls, it just needs a lot more spit and polish than it currently has and with no update in months I can only presume this game is as good as it is going to get, but it is not good enough to justify the current £15.49 price. If you can pick it up for half of that you might well be able to enjoy it more than I did, but paying full price simply left me feeling a little short-changed.
